The day begins in Nazareth with a visit to the Church of the Annunciation, built over the site where tradition holds that Mary was told she would give birth to Jesus. From there you continue to the Church of St. Joseph and its carpentry shop, then to the Greek Orthodox Church and the adjoining well in the older part of town. The route carries on to the Mount of Precipitation for views over the surrounding valley, and a stop in Cana, the place connected with the first miracle of turning water into wine.
The tour then moves toward the Sea of Galilee, a calm freshwater lake tied to much of the ministry of Jesus. You visit Capernaum, the Benedictine Church, and Mensa Christi near the shoreline, before reaching Yardenit on the Jordan River. Your guide shares the historical and biblical background at each site.
