Holy Land Travel Guides
Holy Land Travel Guides
Three complete regional pilgrimage guides written by a licensed Holy Land-born guide with 15+ years on the ground. Practical, first-hand, and designed for pilgrims who want the real picture — not tourism-board spin.
The Complete Bethlehem Guide
The Church of the Nativity, Manger Square, Shepherds' Field, Milk Grotto, Mar Saba, the Separation Wall, and everything else visitors need to know. Written by a guide born five minutes from Manger Square.
Read the Bethlehem GuideThe Complete Jerusalem Guide
Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Western Wall, Via Dolorosa, Temple Mount, Mount of Olives, City of David, Yad Vashem. Plus which quarter to start in, dress codes, and the real safety picture for 2026.
Read the Jerusalem GuideThe Complete Galilee Guide
Nazareth, Cana, Capernaum, Mount of Beatitudes, Tabgha, Magdala, Mount Tabor, Caesarea Philippi, and the boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Where Jesus actually lived, not just where he died.
Read the Galilee GuideWhy These Guides Exist
Most travel content about the Holy Land is written by people who have never lived here. Dates, mileages, and opening hours copy-pasted from the last blog. Safety warnings from embassies that have never visited a checkpoint.
These guides are different. I was born in Bethlehem. I have held a government-issued Holy Land guide license since 2009. I have led pilgrims from more than seventy countries through these cities. The three pillar guides above are the same information I give my own clients before they arrive — what to see, what to skip, what catches pilgrims off guard every week.
They are updated as conditions change. Every guide shows a "current status" box at the top so you know what to expect on the ground right now.
Combining the Three Regions
Almost no one visits the Holy Land in a single-city trip. Here are the common pilgrimage structures I build for my groups:
Jerusalem + Bethlehem
The classic short-trip core. Jerusalem (2.5 days) + Bethlehem (1.5 days). Every major Christian site on Calvary side, plus the Nativity.
The Full Holy Land
Jerusalem (2–3), Bethlehem (1), Galilee (2), half-day at Dead Sea / Masada. The pilgrimage most people remember for the rest of their lives.
Deep Pilgrimage
Full 7-day structure plus Caesarea Maritima, Beit She'an, Mount Carmel, Mar Saba, and enough unscheduled time to actually pray.
Holy Land + Jordan
All three regions plus Petra, Mount Nebo, Jerash, and the Jordan side of the Jordan River. Crosses at Allenby Bridge.
