Jericho & Jordan River Half-Day Tour
Leaving from Bethlehem around 1:00 PM

Sea Level Stop – 5 mins
We’ll pull over for a quick photo — you’ll be standing exactly at sea level. It’s just a sign on the side of the road, but people love it. Simple moment, cool view, then we keep going.

Saint Gerasimous Monastery – 15 mins
This spot is quiet far away in the desert, the monastery feels like another world, it is called the garden in the middle of the desert as well, and where the holy family stayed before the flight to egypt.

Jordan River – 30 mins
This is one of those places where everyone goes quiet. The water’s still, the space is open, and you know something important happened here. Some people dip their hands in. Others just stand and take it in. No one leaves untouched.

Hisham’s Palace – 30 mins
Imagine a palace in the middle of the desert — broken columns, cracked walls, and mosaics still holding on after centuries. You walk around and think, How is this still here? And somehow it is.

Old City of Jericho – 30 mins
This city has been here forever. You feel it the second you step in. It’s not fancy — just old stone, narrow streets, and that strange feeling like the ground remembers everything.

The Sycamore Tree – 5 mins
It’s the same one from the Zacchaeus story. Nothing fancy. Just a big tree in the middle of the street. But people stop. They always stop. It means something — even if they can’t explain why.

Elisha’s Spring – 5 mins
We’ll end at this little spring tucked behind some old walls of the city of jericho, also mentioned that Elisha Cleanesed the water for the people of jericho. Everyone loves this stop - it’s like the land is giving you a quiet goodbye.

Notes About This Tour

  • A change of Vehicle is Required
  • We do not include a visit to the Birth Grotto unless you have booked the Small Group option, as waiting times typically range from 1 to 3 hours, depending on the season and make sure it is not on Sunday morning and or holidays as the grotto will be usually closed
  • During this tour, we won't be making a stop at the Cable Car or Mount of Temptation. Instead, we'll enjoy a scenic view of these attractions from the old city of Jericho. This adjustment was made based on feedback we've received over the past few years, taking into account concerns about the closure of the monastery, the limited options available in the area, including an expensive restaurant, costly shopping, potential tourist traps, and the fact that it costs 60 shekels to go up the mountain.
