The day starts with a drive through the Judean Desert, where the open landscape gives a sense of stepping back in time. On the way from Tel Aviv you pass the Mount of Olives view from the road, and through the desert mountains you get a chance to see the Bedouin way of life. At Masada you take the cable car up the mountain and walk paths that date back thousands of years.
