Nazareth & the Sea of Galilee Full Day Private Tour Description

Spend the day walking through stories you've probably heard your whole life — right where they happened. This private tour takes you deep into Nazareth and around the peaceful shores of the Sea of Galilee, with time to slow down, take it in, and actually feel the history under your feet.

We’ll begin in Nazareth, where the day opens with a visit to the Basilica of the Annunciation — it’s massive, built right over the spot where tradition says Mary was told she’d give birth to Jesus. The energy inside? Quiet but powerful. From there, we’ll explore some of the local streets, old stone houses, and stop by Mary’s Well, tucked away in a more hidden corner of town.

After that, we drive to hills and toward the Galilee region. The land flattens and suddenly the Sea of Galilee comes into view. It’s not really a sea, more like a big, calm lake — but it’s the same water Jesus walked on, taught by, and crossed with his disciples.

Stops might include Capernaum, where you’ll see the remains of Peter’s house, the Mount of Beatitudes, where the Sermon on the Mount is believed to have happened, and the Church of the Multiplication in Tabgha — right near the shoreline. All simple places, but deeply moving once you’re there.

There’s usually time for a quiet break along the water or a quick bite at a roadside café (not fancy, but those tend to be the best). Depending on pace and interests, your guide might suggest a stop in Cana too — the spot tied to Jesus’ first miracle, water into wine.

By late afternoon, we begin the ride back. Most people sit quiet for part of it — not because they’re tired (though maybe that too), but because this day leaves a lot to think about.
