The Dead Sea, Jericho and The Jordan River Tour from Jerusalem - Full Description
Our tour will start after the pick up at our meeting point by a ride through the Judean Desert. Enjoy the views of the sandy and rocky mountains that will definitely take you back in time! During our ride we will have a short break to freshen up at the Sea Level mark, there you can take pictures with the camels and enjoy the views.
Shortly we will continue our trip to visit the Old City of Jericho, Tel Es-Sultan. The ancient city of Jericho and according to modern history is the oldest city in the world. We will have a visit to the remains of the city before we continue to visit the Mount of Temptation.
The Mount of Temptation is believed to be the mountain where Jesus was tempted by the devil during his 40-day fast. You could take the cable car up the mountain to enjoy the views or you could go with our driver.
Continuing our trip we will have short visit to the sycamore tree in Jericho, also referred as Zacchaeus tree. It is believed to be the tree which Zacchaeus climbed in order to see Jesus Christ when he visited the city. Shortly after we will have a visit to the Jordan River.
Lastly we will have all the time remaining to relax at the Dead Sea. You could float in the water, cover yourself with the famous Dead Sea Mud. It is known that the natural minerals in the water and in the mud help with skin health. It is the only sea in the world that has this level of concentration of minerals and salts.
